[Abstract] Objective To determine the curative effectiveness and safety of tension-free vaginal tape-obturator procedure(TVT-0) as a new surgical treatment method for female stress urinary incontinence(SUI).Methods 35 cases of female urinary stress incontinence underwent TVT-O procedure were retrospectively analyzed.Results The mean operation time was 30 min and the volume of mean bleeding was 38ml.The mean hospital stay was 3.5d.All 35 patients were followed up for 3 to 30 months,and obtained a satisfactory continence.The clinical symptoms disappeared after operation,there was no incontinence relapse.Conclusion TVT-O is an effective treatment for female urinary stress incontinence with advantage of simple operating,minimal invasion,safety，and few complication.It can be used first for treating female urinary stress incontinence.
