Objective RRM2 gene play an important role in invasion and metastasis of endometrioid endometrial carcinoma. Methods Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction,western blot analysis were employed to reveal mRNA and their protein expression of RRM2 in cancer tissue and normal endometrium of 50 cases. Results Mean levels of RRM2 mRNA were significantly increased in tumor tissues compared with normal endometrium( P <0.005).There were significant differences in RRM2 protein expression between superficial myometrial invasion and deep myometrial invasion or lymph node metastasis(P < 0.05).No difference was found among other groups(P >0.05).Mean levels of RRM2 mRNA were significantly increased in G3 compared with G1(P < 0.005).No difference was found among other groups(P >0.05).Mean levels of RRM2 protein expression were significantly increased in tumor tissues compared with normal endometrium( P <0.005).There were significant differences in RRM2 protein expression between superficial myometrial invasion and deep myometrial invasion or lymph node metastasis(P <0.05).There was significantly difference between lymph node metastasis and cervical invasion(P < 0.05).No difference was found among other groups(P >0.05).Mean levels of RRM2 mRNA were significantly increased in G3 compared with G1,G2(P < 0.005). Conclusion There is correlation between RRM2 overexpression and endometrial carcinogenesis or invasion or metastasis. |
