Objective:To explore the effects of Buqizengye decoction on defecation, intestinal function, intestinal neurotransmitters, Cajal interstitial cells(ICC) and SCF/c-kit signaling pathway in rats with slow transit constipation(STC). Methods:Fifty male SD rats were randomly divided into normal group, model group, low-dose group of Buqizengye decoction, high-dose group of Buqizengye decoction and Mosapride group with 10 rats in each group. The rat model of STC was established to detect the amount of feces and water content in rats before, during and after treatment.The intestinal neurotransmitters NO, NOS, SP and VIP, and the expression of c-kit and SCF protein were detected in each group. Results:Compared with the model group, Buqi zengye decoction could increase the fecal amount and water content of STC rats(P<0.05). Compared with the normal group, the levels of SP, VIP, NO and NOS in the colon of the model group increased(P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the levels of VIP, NO and NOS decreased in the Buqizengye decoction group(P<0.05), while the expression of c-kit and SCF protein was increased in the Buqizengye decoction group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Buqizengye decoction can improve the symptoms of constipation, and its mechanism may be related to the reduction of the content of NO, NOS, VIP in colon and the regulation SCF/c-kit signaling pathway, which can improve the smooth muscle movement of the intestine. |
