Objective To study the value of sialidase and amines methods in the diagnosis of bacteria vaginosis(BV).Methods The two methods were evaluated according to Amsel criterion. Results In sialidase test, sensitivity was 89 2% and specificity was 97 8%. In amines test, sensitivity was 92 3% and specificity was 86 7%.The positive rate of whiff test was obviously lower than that of amines (P<0.005).When whiff test was replaced by amines test in Amsel test, specificity and the efficiency of diagnosis were respectively 94.8% and 96.0%.Conclusions Sialidase test in diagnosis of BV is rapid, simple, raliable and convenient for quality control, which is a suitable index in clinical diagnosis, while amines test itself is slightly less specific. The replacement of whiff test in Amsel test improves the specificity and efficiency of clinical diagnosis of BV. |
