Objective To study the clinical efficacy of bilateral uterine artery embolization management for intractable postpartum hemorrhage.Method 3 patients of postpartum hemorrhage, for whom medication was invalid, were chosen to be catheterized of bilateral uterine arteries using Seldinger technique, and gelfoam was injected into arteries for embolization after angiography proved, then followed by another angiography to confirm the success of embolization. The clinical efficacy was estimated by hemorrhagic measurement. Results Bilateral uterine artery embolization can judge the hemorrhagic condition exactly and timely, and obstruct uterus blood supply, thus control the bleeding. Conclusions Intractable postpartum hemorrhage can be treated by bilateral uterine artery embolization when positive pathogenic therapy is carried on,thus to effectively control bleeding, and improve the cure. |
