Objective The experiment was designed to study the effect of tea polyphenols(TPs) on the expression of reactive oxygen species(ROS) and the renal glumerular in diabetic rats.Methods The model of diabetic nephropathy in rats was established and then the serous ROS determined and glumerular pathological alterations studied in them after treatment with TPs(200?mg·kg -1 ·d -1 ).Result TPs increased the serous SOD,decreased the serous MDA and retarded the injury of kidney.Conclusion TPs benefit the prevention and treatment of the diabetic nephropathy in the early stage because they can remedy the disorder of ROS.
