Objective To compare the efficacy of epidermal autografts and topical own-blood injection on patients with vitiligo. Methods 200 cases with stable localized vitiligo were divided into two groups: 50 patients were treated with suction blister epidermal grafting, of 5 patients whose epidermal samples before and after treatment were studied by electron microscope;the other 150 patients were treated with topical own-blood injection. Results The cure rate in epidermal autografts group was 70% which showed a significant difference compared with the other group (10%). There have been seen melanin particles in epidermis after autografts by electronic microscope. Conclusion epidermal autografts is now a highly efficient therapy for stable vitiligo. |
