ObjectiveTo study the clinical application of retroperitoneoscopic radical nephrectomy for carcinoma of kidney.MethodsFrom November 2004 to November 2006,13 patients with carcinoma of kidney underwent the retroperitoneoscopic radical nephrectomy and the clinical data were analysed retrospectively.Clinical stages of 10 cases were T1N0M0 and 3 cases were T2N0M0.ResultsIn all cases,nephrectomies were undergone successfully by retroperitoneoscopic procedure.One of these cases was treated by hand-assisted transperitoneoscopic radical nephrectomy for the bleeding of spermatic vein.Operative time ranged from 60-255 min(mean operative time 145 min).Intraoperative blood losses were about 50-1 200 ml(mean blood loss 124 ml).12 cases were following-up from 1-17months.11 cases survived without tumors and one case found metastasis in lung in 6 months after operation.ConclusionRetroperitoneoscopic radical nephrectomy is a kind of safe,effective and efficient surgical procedure.
