Objective To investigate the management of obstructing left-sided colonic cancer.Methods Among 9 cases of obstructing left-sided colonic cancer,one patient was treated with tumor resection and colostomy,the rest 8 patients were treated with intraoperative decompression,lavage,resection and ananstomosis.Result There was no anastomotic leakage,all patients discharged without motality.Conclusion Primary resection and anantomosis is an acceptable modality for the treatment of obstructing left-side colonic carcinoma when the patient’s condition is feasible. |
