当今工农业生产飞速发展,新化学物倍增,加之环境污染、核电事故等原因,全世界癌症发病率、死亡率不断升高,到2030年癌症将成为人类第一死因,因此应重视癌症的研究。在癌症的研究中毒理学不论在病因探查、早期诊断,还是在机制研究以及肿瘤的防治上均显示其重要作用,其在毒理基因库的建立、新致癌化学物预测、危险度评价、发现高危人群等方面的重要作用是其他学科不可替代的。应加强肿瘤毒理学的研究,以抵御人类面临肿瘤疾病的重大威胁。
