Objective: To investigate the minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy with holmium laser treatment of renal pelvis the clinical relevance of stenosis or atresia and effect. Methods From March 2008 to February 2011, twenty-six patients with renal pelvis secondary and primary stenosis or atresia received the X-ray-guided percutaneous nephrostomy through F16 channel, and holmium laser incision. Results: 25 of 26 patients had a successful operation, and one failed because of the renal pelvis locking section was over 2.0 cm and the open plastic surgery was taken. 25 patients were observed to have improvement by the B ultrasoundgraphy in 2-3 months, and the D-J was removed. Then,it was showed by the IVP in 3-6 months that 23 cases had a good imaging of renal pelvis, while 2 cases had a recurrence of stenosis. Thus, F6 D-J placement was carried on again through the ureteroscopy for the 2 cases and the stenosis relieved after removal of the D-J in another 3 months. Conclusion: Having less trauma, more safety and efficacy,minimally invasive percutaneous nephroscope with holmium laser treatment of renal pelvis stenosis or atresia particularly indicates secondary renal pelvis stenosis or atresia after open surgery.
