Objective: To discuss the effect of application of oxytocin before operation on prevention bleeding during and after cesarean delivery, birth trauma, and neonate Apgar score. Methods: One hundred and eighty cases without medical indication which had taken cesarean delivery were divided into observation group(n=80) and control group(n=100). Both groups took lower uterine segment transverse incision abdominal cesarean delivery.Observation group was given oxytocin before operation for a short time and the patients had regular contractions. Control group had no contractions before operation and took cesarean delivery directly. Both groups were given same treatment during and after operation. The third stage of labor time, the amount of bleeding during operation, 2 h and 24 h after operation, uterine rupture and neonatal outcome were compared between the two groups. Results: The amount of bleeding of observation group was significantly less than control group in 2 hours after operation, the incidence of uterine rupture was also lower than control group, and there was not significant difference in neonate Apgar score. Conclusions: Taking oxytocin before cesarean delivery in patients without medical indication can effectively reduce bleeding during and after operation, the occurrence of uterine rupture. It is benefit to operation. |
