Objective To Study Expression of epidermal growth factor receptor on pulmonary fibrosis in rats. Methods Fifty-four Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups, the pulmonary fibrosis group ,Iressa group and the control group, and were sacrificed after treatment on days 1 , 14 and 28 , respectively , and their lungs were harvested for histological studies. Results①The expression of EGFR in the lung significantly increased in bleomycin-treated animals(P<0.01 vs control), ②and significantly increased after 28th day in bleomycin-treated animals (P<0.01 vs other groups). ③In Iressa-treated animals, the expression of EGFR was lower than the pulmonary fibrosis group (P<0.01),④The degree of pulmonary fibrosis is alleviated in Iressa-treated animals. Conclusion The expression of EGFR is dynamically changed in the lung with experimental pulmonary fibrosis, which may contribute to the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis. |
