Objective Our observe was to determine inhibition effect of oxaliplatin on the growth of tumor transplanted from a mouse and its effect on the expression of Angiopoietin-2 of the transplanted tumor tissue. Methods After cultured and amplified in vitro, Ishikawa cells were planted into nude mice subcutaneously. When the tumor grew up to a definite size, twenty mice were randomly divided into two groups: oxaliplatin group and negative control group. The mice in each group were received corresponding treatment. After 27 days, tumor volume was assessed and tumor inhibitive rate was calculated. The expression level of Ang-2 on mRNA and protein was detected by RT-PCR and Western blotting technology respectively. Results The tumor weight in the experimental oxaliplatin group was significantly lower than that in the negative control group( P<0.01). The expression level of Ang-2 on mRNA and protein in oxaliplatin group was lower than that in the negative control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Oxaliplatin could significantly inhibit the tumor growth and the expression of Ang-2 in the mouse model of endometrial carcinoma, which may duo to the inhibitory effect of Oxaliplatin on the angiogenesis of tumor tissue. |
