Objective To observe the effect of valsartan on function of vascular endothelium in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Method 42 cases with CHD were randomized to the control group (treated with betaloc 50?mg·d -1 and aspirin 75?mg·d -1) and the valsartan group(treated with betaloc 50?mg·d -1,aspirinin 75?mg·d -1 and valsartan 100?mg·d -1). After treatment for 6 weeks,endothelium-dependent relaxing function was determined by high-resolution ultrasound. The level of plasma NO,MDA and SOD activity as well as LDL?C were determined after and before treatment.Result After therapy with valsartan, there was more significantly increased FMD in losartan group than the control group (P<0.05). The concentration of plasma MDA was lowered (P<0.05); the level of plasma NO and SOD were increased significantly (P<0.05), while the concentration of plasma LDL?C showed no change (P>0.05).Conclusion Valsartan may exert anti-oxidative stress by increasing the level of NO and SOD, therefore increase the bioavailability of NO,which contribute to the improvement of the function of vascular endothelium in patients with CHD. |
